Obama Moves On While Right Rants On

While the right rants on President Obama moves on. What a joy to see a president quickly moving through all the issues that need to be addressed and getting them done and without too much conflict so far.

He will have a much harder time on healthcare, but he will see it through. I predict we will have a drastically different healthcare system approved by the end of this year, or at least ready to be approved. President Obama maneuvers through the blowing smoke like he is wearing a gas mask and night vision goggles.

The bank's seem to be making it though the marsh and the right is having a fit. How can it be working so fast, we did not cut taxes on the rich. The only thing I am disappointed in is that we have not raised taxes on those making over $250,000, yet.

I am not the first to notice how quiet the Obama administration has been on Gay Marriage and many other lgbt issues. It is a smart move. It is happening without any stance being taken. Later the administration can just move along what is already happening. Once 10 or fifteen states have gay marriage and not just civil unions it will be easy to overturn obstacles on constitutional grounds, especially with the help of a more left leaning Supreme Court.

It is however a different story with "Don't Ask, Don't Tell". It seems our president is waiting for the right time and I for one do not know what could possibly happen to make it any better than now. However, he promised and I believe him.

So rant on neo-cons and bigots and watch as we change this country a little bit at a time.
